Ceremony and Right Action Belong Together

A profound clarion call that has emerged from the healing work of the IMAGINE PEACE Promise Alliance is a way of being of service known as ceremonial 'grid work'. Grid work can be defined as a compassionate connection with the cellular memories held in the land where monumental events in history which have had a significant impact on human EVOLution occurred. 

Ceremonial Grid Work is an experience of merging the timelines of the past and present to consciously co create a future that is PEACEFUL, LOVING, COMPASSIONATE, INCLUSIVE, JUST, and PROSPEROUS for all sentient life. WE hold this healing space through inter spiritual prayer/meditation, poetry, music, and offering reverence to the land.

This particular aspect of our service work is illuminated by the codes of the Natural Time sequence-specifically the Mayan Time Science Technology (cycle of 52 years) and the Chinese Lunar calendar (cycle of 60 years). Natural time is a map for living harmoniously with ourselves and all of creation.

From this lens, we are called to visit various places across the United States to provide healing-specifically in the spirit of repair and a fierce passion to shift the tides of history for ourselves and the seven generations, as prophesied by the Original Peoples of Turtle Island, now known as the United States of America…

The 60 year cycle signals a time of coming full circle…both an ending and a beginning. August 1st, 1966 marked the first mass shooting on a school campus and any public civilian space in the U.S. It occurred on the grounds of the University of Texas in Austin. Since then, there have been countless mass shootings across the U.S. while the attempts at gun reform and access to mental health support are continuously attacked, especially in Texas.

Violence is an epidemic. Truth-telling, community-building, healing, and an embodiment of reverence for life are remedies.
